#SocialResponsibility Meets #Fun at Wings for Life World Run 2021
Earlier this month, Personio employees joined thousands of people in the Wings for Life World Run 2021. Beginning at 11:00 UTC, runners from around the world began racing against a virtual Catcher Car, running as far as possible before being "passed" by the car in the Wings for Life app.
Much more than just a fun global activity, Wings for Life is a charity foundation focused on finding a cure for spinal cord injury. 100 percent of entry fees and donations go straight to spinal cord research.
Since 2014, nearly one million people (925,096, to be exact) from 195 countries have participated in the Wings for Life World Run. Together they have run over nine million kilometers and given about 30 million euros for spinal cord research. That money has supported 59 ongoing research projects and funded 239 projects from the beginning.

As the 2021 kicked off, 50 of our employees took part across Europe to run for those you can't. Sponsored by Personio, our team ran a collective 446 kilometers and raised over €1,000! It was a great opportunity for Personios to get active, spend some time together (while socially distanced), and, most importantly, support the excellent Wings for Life cause.
