Decision Makers’ View on Gender Equality in the Nordic Countries

The Nordic countries consistently top the charts in gender equality rankings. The region has earned itself a reputation as one of the most gender-equal parts of the world. An equal and diverse workforce has been proven to boost both productivity, innovation and profitability.

It is widely understood that this has contributed to a more robust economic development in this region than would otherwise have been possible. But when we looked closer at the countries which make up the Nordic region, we found considerable differences among them. Those differences increasingly apparent in the perceived importance of gender equality and the actions companies take to ensure a gender-equal recruitment process.
