How we work

To ensure the successful scalability of our platform, we are migrating our existing PHP monolith into microservices built in Kotlin + Springboot, running in a dockerized environment, orchestrated by Kubernetes hosted in AWS. Our web app utilises micro-frontends built in React and written in Typescript. Our technical setup allows a high degree of test automation, continuous delivery, and beta roll-outs.

About Us

HR Management

HR Management takes care of all aspects related to the administration of our customers’ existing employees. From absence management to attendance tracking, employees’ digital personnel files, and reporting functions, the HRM module covers some of the most critical functions in the employee lifecycle.

Recruiting

We enable organizations to efficiently hire talent by building a high-performance applicant tracking system as an essential part of Personio’s HR platform. Being close to our customers allows us to build and ship new products that solve real-world recruiting problems.

Payroll

As the payroll team, we build one of the cornerstones for Personio, and therefore strive to provide a unified end-to-end experience across all of our payroll solutions to avoid having our customers do manual work. Our goal is to enable our customers to automate their payroll processes.

Product Platform

We support teams at Personio in delivering high-quality services by providing scalable cross-product components and features. By engaging with stakeholders across the business and within product and engineering teams, we drive high-impact cross-department initiatives.

Tech Platform

We are an interdisciplinary team of specialized quality assurance and security engineers working together to improve the reliability, stability, and quality of our whole development process. We are therefore responsible for security audits, automated tests, and the implementation of new technologies and solutions to enable our product teams to deliver new features safely and efficiently.

Workflows & Integrations

Making time for what matters is at the core of what we’re doing in Workflows & Integrations. We do this by enabling our customers to connect Personio to other business applications with our marketplace and API, and by automating people workflows across the full employee lifecycle. Through people workflows automation, we enable HR to go beyond HR and win back valuable time, time that can then be spent on and with people.

  • Is remote work possible?

    We are remote friendly, we Offer the possibility with PersonioFlex to work 50% remote and also the possibility to work abroad for 90 days within Europe but we want to foster a collaborative environment. Therefore we believe in the best of both worlds.
  • Do you provide Visa sponsorship & support with relocation?

    Yes we do. We do offer a relocation package thanks to our partnership with an agency that will take care of every step from the Visa request and administrative things up till the practical relocation actions. This means you (the candidate) won't be alone in handling that it will always be supported by us and the agency. (We collaborate with Localyze at the moment)
  • How do the teams work together?

    We work in an agile manner in 2-weeks scrum sprints, meaning each follows its own sprint cycles - sprint reviews - ceremonies - retrospectives and focuses on specific tasks (features; project) coming from that tribe. Overall we work in cross-functional teams and that enables a strong coordination, cooperation and ownership.
  • Can you tell me about Diversity & Inclusion at Personio?

    At Personio we are very sensible about topics like diversity & inclusiveness and data easily support it showing we recently reached 65+ nationalities over 850 employees. Obviously diversity & inclusion is a much broader topic to be reduced to numbers & data → We do understand the need to create a more safe environment where everyone can feel comfortable working in and we constantly accomplish that starting from our Diversity Committee that focuses on topics from Cultural diversity till health; Age and family friendliness of employees. We do so from attending hiring events that are specifically geared toward diverse talent to setting up internal inclusive-oriented “Ask me anything" session to always strength and boost our internal conception of inclusiveness and diversity.

    With a close focus on the design, I have to say that the design team is very heterogeneous, characterised by a very interesting multicultural environment between Brazilian; Italian; Indian; Irish and Nigerian and some more (German, Ukrain, Azerbajdzan) people!
  • How does Personio manage to satisfy different needs of different markets with its software?

    We have a standardised solution where our customers can choose which tool and feature they want to use. Nevertheless one of the usp's of Personio is its customer-centric nature thanks to our constant customer research. That leads to identifying different customer & market needs and to reach a good level of customisation. We also have a customer advisory board who is heavily involved in our customer feedback cycle.

    In practice, this is possible by continuous touch-points of designers with our customers; a tangible example refers to the established practice of automated feedback requests from our software on a monthly basis about its usability. This allows us to collect data and focus on specific areas while providing a more customised customer experience.
