HUG 2025: Personio rolls out new AI-powered capabilities for users as it celebrates its 10 year anniversary

Munich, October 16, 2025 – Personio, the Intelligent HR platform, announced product innovations that further embed AI capabilities; enhancing employee experience, empowering HR teams, and enabling smarter business decisions. Centered around the theme of “intelligence at work,” Personio celebrated its 10th anniversary at HUG 2025, its annual community event for HR professionals.
Hanno Renner, co-founder and CEO of Personio, highlighted: “From day one, our goal has been to make work life easier and more meaningful for our customers. True intelligence at work isn’t just about technology, it’s about understanding the real needs of HR teams and employees, and helping them thrive. Every innovation we build starts with listening to our customers, and with technological intelligence now woven throughout our platform, we’re finding even more ways to put people, not processes, at the heart of progress.”
Hosted across multiple Personio office locations, HUG 2025 revealed significant enhancements across Personio’s portfolio of Core HR, Payroll, Performance & Development, Surveys, Analytics, and Reporting. These innovations are strongly focused on helping HR teams automate repetitive and time-consuming work, support decision-making with meaningful insights, and confidently adapt to changing requirements.

And lastly, Career Frameworks have been introduced to provide greater clarity to managers and employees on the expectations and competencies required for their role.
Better control for HR: A highly requested feature now allows flexible data imports for non-admins, such as compensation managers updating salary and bonus data. Plus, greater flexibility in Payroll with support for 13th and 14th month salaries, and configuration by legal entity. In Germany, native Payroll now offers AI-powered payslip parsing and built-in BEA certificates, enabling smoother processes and reducing delays for Payroll teams.
Better business decisions: Updated capabilities bring impactful people insights to HR and their leadership teams. New Engagement Surveys, built on the new People Matter Framework, a science based framework to measure employee engagement, to deliver actionable insights about the workforce. In addition, AI-driven interactive analytics empower HR professionals to better understand their data and share key insights with stakeholders through the new-in report sharing.
Hanno Renner added: “We hear from our customers that HR teams are constantly being asked to do more with less, all while employee expectations are rising. That’s why we’re continuing to invest in our AI capabilities, not only in the Personio Assistant, but throughout the platform. We’re committed to helping both HR teams and employees work smarter and focus on what truly matters – and ten years in, we’re more committed than ever to this goal.”
