Senior Software Engineer (L5) – Frontend (EPD: Performance and Development App)
The Role
This role requires 2 days per week in the office and is based in Madrid or Berlin.
In the EPD (Performance and Development) team, you’ll build product experiences that help customers run performance cycles, feedback, reviews, goals, training, and surveys. After a major overhaul of the product experience this year, the focus now shifts to delivering “customer love” through a seamless, high-quality UI and meaningful improvements that customers feel immediately, including impact on adoption and revenue.
What You’ll Do
Build high-impact frontend experiences by delivering polished, user-friendly features across Performance, Development, Goals, Trainings, and Surveys.
Own features end to end by driving implementation from discovery through delivery, including aligning with Product and Design and keeping execution unblocked.
Improve product quality and customer experience by reducing bugs, smoothing rough edges, and raising the bar on usability and reliability.
Collaborate closely with Design and Product to turn customer feedback into improvements that directly address the biggest user pain points.
Contribute beyond the UI when helpful by working in a full stack way when needed to unlock broader solutions (full stack engineers are welcome).
Lead small-to-medium initiatives by coordinating stakeholders, managing dependencies, and knowing when to escalate or bring in support.
Support a strong engineering culture by participating in code reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing in a senior team environment.
What You Need to Succeed
Strong React experience and confidence building modern, component-driven web applications in production.
Solid frontend engineering fundamentals across performance, accessibility, maintainability, testing, and scalable UI architecture.
Ownership and self-sufficiency with a habit of proactively unblocking yourself and maintaining transparency with stakeholders.
Clear communication skills so you can collaborate smoothly without needing heavy oversight or constant status chasing.
A product mindset with interest in solving customer problems, not just shipping tickets.
Comfort working in a senior team with L5B and L6 engineers, where you’re expected to drive work independently and take responsibility for outcomes.
Full stack capability (optional) is a plus, especially if it helps deliver broader solutions, but this role is frontend focused.
