Our team of 1,500 Personios is building user-friendly products that delight our 15,000+ customers and their 1.5 million employees. Ready to make an impact from day one?
This role requires 3 days per week in the office and is based in London, Madrid, Dublin, Berlin or Munich.
We empower Personio's decision-making with advanced analytics and strategic insights, while boosting productivity through systems improvement and automation. Be part of our transformative journey in HR technology, where your contributions will shape our data-driven future.
We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Lead Finance and Subscription Systems to head our delivery across the entire Lead‑to‑Cash, Procure‑to‑Pay, and Record‑to‑Report lifecycle. You will own the vision, strategy and roadmap for our financial and subscription systems, while leading a team of specialists and product managers. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you will combine people management, system ownership, cross‑functional delivery and day‑to‑day problem solving to ensure operational excellence and scalability as Personio continues to grow.
Role Responsibilties
Lead and develop the Finance & Subscription Systems team, while driving cross-functional end to end delivery. Provide coaching and guidance on execution and best practices. Coordinate implementation efforts across pods, aligning stakeholders, defining priorities, resolving blockers and ensuring high‑quality, timely execution.
Act as the end‑to‑end system and process owner for Order‑to‑Cash, Procurement‑to‑Pay, and Record‑to‑Report, ensuring accuracy, compliance, automation, data integrity, and continuous improvement. Own the vision, strategy and roadmap for these processes and their underlying systems, building a unified, scalable, and efficient operational ecosystem across Chargebee, Workday and all related integrations.
Partner closely with cross‑functional stakeholders to understand needs, shape solutions, influence decision-making and proactively advise on system and process implications.
Act as a hands‑on system and process owner, participating directly in requirement definition, system configurations, functional design, testing, issue investigation and operational support when needed.
Lead and contribute to cross‑functional initiatives, such as CPQ evolutions, new billing models, revenue recognition rules, tax and compliance projects, and new product launches, while driving continuous improvement and automation by identifying gaps and inefficiencies and leveraging system capabilities to scale operations and reduce manual work.
Ensure strong governance, auditability, and compliance across all finance and subscription processes (taxes, accounting, invoicing, internal controls, SoD, audit readiness).
Build and maintain high-quality documentation, operational workflows, training materials and guidance to ensure adoption, clarity and consistency.
Role Requirements
Extensive Finance & Subscription Systems expertise, with 5+ years working with SaaS billing and ERP platforms (ideally Chargebee and Workday Financials), covering O2C, P2P and R2R processes end to end.
Proven people leadership, with experience managing and developing a high‑performing team in a fast‑moving, cross‑functional environment.
Strong SaaS business and finance operations knowledge, including revenue recognition, billing models, taxes, financial reporting, accounting principles, and process governance.
Hands‑on technical and functional ability, comfortable defining requirements, configuring systems, investigating issues, validating data flows, and partnering closely with integrations and data teams.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication, able to influence, align, and collaborate with Finance, Legal, Product, Engineering, Billing Ops, and GTM teams.
Strategic mindset with operational discipline, combining long‑term systems vision with strong prioritization, analytical thinking, and continuous improvement focus.
English language is required at business fluency level.
