1. The Role Introduction: “The Role”

Our Customer Experience team thrives on collaboration, working closely with teams across Personio to ensure that customer voices are at the heart of everything we do. We are dedicated to understanding and advocating for our customers, using data-driven insights to shape our customer experience strategies and influence what we build.

At Personio, integrations are the backbone of how our customers automate, scale, and unlock value from their HR data. As a Associate Customer Integration Specialist (m/f/d), you'll design and deliver the technical connections that make Personio the central system of record for 15,000+ customers. You'll sit at the intersection of technology, consulting, and innovation, helping customers realize value faster while evolving our integration frameworks and tools in collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success.

This role requires 3 days per week in the office and is based in Munich, Berlin, or Dublin.

2. Role Responsibilities: “What You’ll Do”

  • Integration Delivery: You partner with customers and internal teams to scope, design, and deliver seamless integrations between Personio and external systems (HRIS, payroll, identity, and productivity tools).

  • Technical Implementation: You build and troubleshoot integrations, leveraging REST, while using AI-powered tools to accelerate implementation.

  • Customer Advisory: You act as a trusted technical advisor, translating complex requirements into simple, actionable solutions that deliver measurable customer outcomes and improved time-to-value.

  • Documentation & Testing: You contribute to testing, documentation, and knowledge base articles that help customers and internal teams troubleshoot common integration scenarios.

  • Continuous Learning: You actively develop your technical skills, learning automation platforms, AI-powered tools, and integration best practices to accelerate your growth.

3. Role Requirements: “What You Need to Succeed”

  • Experience: You have 1-2 years of relevant experience in customer-facing roles in integration consulting, integration engineering, technical support or any other integration-related work.

  • Technical Foundation: You have a basic understanding of APIs (REST), data structures (JSON, XML), and familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language (Python, JavaScript, etc.).

  • Communication Skills: You have strong communication skills in English and German (business fluent or higher), able to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.

  • Problem-Solving Mindset: You're curious, analytical, and enjoy troubleshooting technical challenges with a structured approach.

  • Growth Mindset: You're eager to learn, adaptable, and motivated to continuously develop your technical and consulting skills.

  • AI & Automation Curiosity: You're curious about AI and automation, from using AI tools for data mapping and testing to identifying new ways to accelerate customer onboarding.

At Personio, we value in-person collaboration while also offering flexibility. This role is office-based, with 3 days per week required in your contracted office location. The remaining days can be worked from home or in the office if you prefer. In addition, you’ll have 20 Flex Days per year to work remotely from other locations.
