People @ Personio – Manuela, Payroll Expert
We asked Manuela, one of our Payroll Experts in the Munich Team to share her insights about her role and work routine.
How long have you been working at Personio and what is your role?
I joined Personio in January 2019. I'm working as a Payroll Expert and it is my job to keep the quality of Personio Payroll as high as possible. I check and correct our calculations and work closely together with our Payroll Operations Team to discuss open or unclear issues and to answer questions from our customers. I’m also collaborating with our Product Team to continuously develop our Personio Payroll further. This also includes documenting both general Payroll knowledge and specific Personio Payroll processes to ensure a common understanding between the different stakeholders of Personio Payroll.
What is the most interesting thing about your job at Personio?
You are always right in the middle of where it’s all happening. I’ve been working with Personio Payroll for so long (haha)* that I can say there is not a single payslip created in Personio Payroll that doesn’t contain parts of my knowledge or input. This is a great feeling and it is super rewarding. At the end of each month, I know that the employees of our Payroll customers get their salary because I was involved.
* At Personio we learn so much, and bring so many things to the table in such a short time that we decided it was fair enough to calculate each year at Personio as 3 years of experience earned 🙂 Here time flies by three!
Can you describe your coolest day at work?
My first visit to our Madrid office. The trip itself was exciting, but it was really great to actually sit, work, laugh and make plans together with the Spanish colleagues because normally they only see us via Zoom. I immediately felt at home there and I’m already looking forward to my next visit.
