This position is office-based hybrid in Madrid - 3 days per week.
You will be responsible for driving new business in Spain and other emerging markets for Personio. Working with small and mid-market companies, you'll leverage your Spanish and English fluency to build strong customer relationships and expand our presence in these high-growth regions. This is a full-cycle sales role where you'll own the entire sales process from prospecting to close.
Role Responsibilities: What you'll do
Net New ARR: You're responsible for bringing in net new, recurring revenue from small and mid-market customers in Spain and other emerging markets across Europe.
Full-Cycle Sales: You own the entire sales process from prospecting to close, building pipeline through your own outbound activities, network, and collaboration with Marketing.
Territory Planning: You manage your book of business strategically, identifying high-potential accounts and creating targeted account plans to maximize revenue in your region.
Consultative Selling: You guide prospects through their evaluation process, influence decision criteria, and build compelling business cases that drive action across multi-stakeholder buying centers.
Internal Collaboration: You partner with Solution Engineering, Marketing, Legal, and other teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences and close deals efficiently.
Market Development: You act as a market expert for Spain and emerging European markets, sharing insights and feedback to help shape Personio's go-to-market strategy in these regions.
Continuous Improvement: You play a crucial role in uplevelling yourself and your AE colleagues, contributing to the growth and excellence of the entire sales organization.
Role Requirements: What you need to succeed
You have a proven track record of 2+ years in technology sales, ideally in a SaaS or B2B environment, with a focus on new business acquisition.
You are fluent in Spanish and English (C2 level or native in both), with Italian language skills being a strong plus for engaging with customers across emerging European markets.
You thrive in full-cycle sales, owning the entire sales process from prospecting and qualification through to negotiation and close, without relying on BDR support.
You excel at consultative selling, guiding prospects through their evaluation process, influencing decision criteria, and navigating multi-stakeholder buying centers in small and mid-market companies.
You're a strategic territory planner, able to build and execute account plans, prioritize high-value opportunities, and consistently hit or exceed your revenue targets.
You bring high energy and a hunter mentality, proactively seeking new opportunities, leveraging your network, and demonstrating resilience in a fast-paced sales environment.
You have a growth mindset, with experience in top-tier sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDIC) and a strong intrinsic motivation to continuously improve and overachieve your goals.

At Personio, we value in-person collaboration while also offering flexibility. This role is office-based, with 3 days per week required in your contracted office location. The remaining days can be worked from home or in the office if you prefer. In addition, you’ll have 20 Flex Days per year to work remotely from other locations.
