The Role: How you'll make an impact at Personio
This role requires 3 days per week in the office and is based in Amsterdam
As Country Sales Manager, Benelux, you will lead new business growth in our most mature International market. You'll directly manage the AE team, own the Benelux new business number, and represent the region as its commercial voice with prospects, partners, and the HR community. This is a senior sales leadership role where you'll run the sales operating rhythm, coach AEs to consistent quota attainment, and influence cross-functional teams to drive unified execution toward our growth goals
Role Responsibilities: What you'll do
New Business Leadership: You lead the Benelux AE team with full accountability for quota attainment, pipeline coverage, accurate forecasting, deal quality, and annual headcount and quota planning.
Build a joined-up pipeline culture in Benelux, creating one purpose across SDR and Marketing toward a shared ARR goal, driving accountability against targets, and building community across the team.
Cross-Functional Alignment: You unify execution across BDR, Marketing, and AM/CSM under a coherent total revenue plan, identifying and fixing flawed handoffs in the customer engagement model.
Sales Execution & Coaching: You coach the AE team to a step-change in deal quality, raising MEDDICC discipline, deepening Economic Buyer access, and tightening Compelling Event capture across the pipeline.
External Representation: You serve as the commercial figurehead for Benelux with prospects, partners, and at industry events, building the region's presence in the market.
Internal Advocacy: You provide structured input to International senior leadership, share learnings with peer markets (UKI, Iberia), and represent Benelux priorities in international forums.
Role Requirements: What you need to succeed
You have 7+ years of B2B SaaS sales leadership experience, with at least 3 years managing a team of AEs against a new business quota, and a track record of consistent quota attainment as both an AE and as a manager. You are fluent in Dutch (C2 level) and English; French is a plus for Belgium.
You have deep fluency in MEDDICC or an equivalent qualification framework, with proven experience installing this discipline in a team and driving deal quality improvements.
You have experience selling into Benelux mid-market, with credibility across HR or Finance buyers and an understanding of the regional business landscape.
You influence without direct authority, bringing cross-functional teams together around shared goals through clarity of purpose, structured communication, and collaborative leadership.
You run a disciplined sales operating rhythm, balancing rigor (weekly 1:1s, forecasting, deal reviews) with respect for the team's time and a bias for async where it works.
You have experience working with or through partner channels (accountancy, payroll, HR consultancy), leveraging these relationships to drive pipeline and growth.
You have a bias for clarity and low tolerance for ambiguity in numbers, thriving in evolving environments where you help shape strategy and build what comes next.

At Personio, we value in-person collaboration while also offering flexibility. This role is office-based, with 3 days required in your contracted office location. The remaining days can be worked from home or in the office if you prefer. In addition, you’ll have 20 Flex Days per year to work remotely from other locations.
