THREE OBLIGATIONS, IN THIS ORDER
What the law asks of you
Based on the Dutch bill implementing the EU Pay Transparency Directive (36 949) as of July 2026. The bill has not yet been adopted. The start date is expected to be 1 January 2027 but depends on how quickly parliament handles the bill, so dates and details may change. No rights can be derived from this page.
Pay structure
Every employer. An objective, gender-neutral system to describe, evaluate and classify jobs, with a salary range per job group.
Transparency
Every employer. Share the salary range with candidates up front, do not ask about current pay, and give employees the right to information on average pay per job group, split by gender.
Reporting
From 100 employees, counted in FTE. Report on the gender pay gap. Organisations with 150 or more employees file their first report by 7 June 2028, over 2027.

Scattered pay data
Job levels and pay ranges live in a different file or system for every entity
A pay question from an employee means a manual hunt across systems
No one can say with confidence what women and men in the same job group earn on average
Pay decisions are made, but the reasoning is not documented
One answer
Structures for job levels and pay ranges that hold up across entities
Pay information requests answered from one source, with a trail showing how decisions were made
Pay data split by job group and ready to export when reporting applies to you
Access rights per entity, so sensitive pay data stays with the right people
Pay transparency starts with the right HR platform
Bring compensation, decision documentation, roles & permissions, and exports into one place — so your reporting is consistent and traceable.

FAQ
Is the consultation really free?
Yes. There is no cost and no obligation to buy anything.
Who are VIE People?
An independent advisory firm that works with organisations on job architecture, job evaluation, salary ranges and pay gap reporting. They are a Personio partner.
What happens in the 30 minutes?
A short self-check, a walk through what applies to an organisation like yours, and a first step you can take straight away.
Do I need to prepare anything?
No. It helps to know your headcount in FTE and how jobs and salary ranges are set today.
Does this cover our entities outside the Netherlands?
The session focuses on the Dutch implementation, which follows the EU directive one-to-one. Other countries may add stricter or additional rules, so for entities abroad it is worth checking local legislation. What we can help with is the reporting structure if you have multiple entities: which entities have to report and whether you report per entity or at group level.
Is the Dutch law final?
Not yet. The bill is in parliament. The start date is expected to be 1 January 2027, but that depends on how quickly parliament handles it. The EU deadline of 7 June 2026 has already passed. Building a pay structure usually takes several months, so many organisations start before the law is final.
