The Role: How you'll make an impact at Personio
Oversee and manage a team of payroll specialists, each responsible for monthly payroll processing across six countries, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
Engage with external payroll providers, negotiating contracts and service agreements to optimize cost and efficiency.
Lead the implementation of intelligent technology solutions, including AI and advanced HR technologies, to optimize manual process steps, drive system and process improvements, and identify opportunities for automation and scalability in support of business growth
Collaborate closely with Finance and People Operations teams to align payroll processes with company policies, budgets, and compliance requirements.
Influence internal product development by providing payroll-related insights and ensuring systems are fit for global payroll needs.
Lead and deliver payroll-related projects, including system implementations, country expansions, and compliance updates.
Ensure compliance with local payroll regulations, labor laws, and tax requirements across all covered entities.
Role Requirements: What you need to succeed
Proven experience managing payroll operations, teams, and external providers in a global context.
Hands-on experience processing payroll in Germany, as well as across multiple international entities.
Track record of successfully scaling payroll operations in a fast-growing organization.
Strong knowledge of global payroll systems, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience leading payroll projects, including system implementations and process improvements.
Ability to work collaboratively across Finance, People Ops, and other cross-functional teams.
