Account Executive UKI (d/f/m)
Personio's intelligent HR platform helps small and medium-sized organizations unlock the power of people by making complicated, time-consuming tasks simple and efficient. Our team of 1,500 Personios is building user-friendly products that delight our 15,000+ customers and their 1.5 million employees. Ready to make an impact from day one?
The Role: How you'll make an impact at Personio
This role requires 3 days per week in the office and is based in Dublin.
A note on segment: we're hiring this role as either a Medium Business (25–200 employees) or Mid-Market (201+ employees) Account Executive. The right person matters more to us than a fixed band, so we'll confirm exact segment placement together, based on your background and where the territory needed is greatest at the time of hire.
Bring your drive. Make a difference. Join our Sales team at Personio and be part of something big — not just for yourself, but for your teammates and the customers whose working lives you'll change every day.
Here's the story: 99% of European businesses are small or medium-sized, yet enterprise software has spent decades ignoring them in favour of the Fortune 500. Personio exists to change that — and the UK & Ireland is where that story is being written fastest right now. Our UK&I new-business team has grown well over 100% year-on-year, and we're not slowing down. As an Account Executive on our new-business team, you'll be the person who takes that momentum and turns it into new customers: owning the full sales cycle for growing UK & Ireland businesses who are often making one of their first serious investments in HR software, and for whom the right decision — made well — changes how hundreds (or thousands) of employees experience work.
If you're excited by the prospect of joining a company with vast untapped market potential, a career at Personio could perfectly align with your ambitions. You'll use your deep understanding of customer needs to drive the growth of a transformative product in an HR technology industry set to soar, offering a lifeline to millions of organizations still stuck in Excel chaos.
Role Responsibilities: What you'll do
Own new-logo acquisition: run the full sales cycle for Medium Business or Mid-Market accounts (exact segment confirmed at hire) — from self-sourced and BDR-qualified outbound through discovery, demo, negotiation and close.
Sell consultatively, not transactionally: engage HR, Finance, and People leaders to uncover real operational pain, and use MEDDICC to qualify deals in or out early rather than let them drift.
Build and protect your pipeline: generate a meaningful share of your own pipeline through creative outbound, while partnering closely with a Sales Development Representative to keep coverage healthy against target.
Forecast like you mean it: keep your book and your numbers current and honest, so your manager and the wider team can plan around a forecast they can trust.
Hand off for success: manage a smooth, well-documented transition of every closed customer to our Customer Success team, setting them — and Personio — up to keep the relationship growing.
Get better every quarter: use coaching, deal reviews, and your own data (win rate, cycle time, ASP) to sharpen how you prioritise and run your territory.
Role Requirements: What you need to succeed
Closing experience: at least 3 years fully ramped in a full-cycle, quota-carrying SaaS new-business closing role, with a track record of consistent quota attainment you can point to specific numbers on.
Segment pedigree: experience carrying a Commercial, Medium Business, or Mid-Market AE title (or the equivalent) at a comparable SaaS organisation — whichever segment you've closed in, we'll match placement to your background.
MEDDICC fluency: hands-on experience qualifying deals in and out using MEDDICC (or an equivalent framework) day to day — this is a genuine requirement, not a nice-to-have.
Top performance: a demonstrated history of goal achievement in a competitive environment — top 10% performer, President's Club, or equivalent recognition.
Pipeline creativity: proven success with cold calling, creative outbound, and social selling — you don't wait for leads to land in your inbox.
Communication: excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills — in English, with genuine fluency in UK & Ireland business culture.
Growth mindset: actively seeks and applies feedback, and takes ownership of both wins and misses.
Bonus: Command of the Message or other Force Management sales-methodology training.
