These are the instructions for webmasters and for members, on how to integrate the PERSONiO code into
any site. With minimal programming, the full power of this matching engine
can become part of your site. It will enhance discussion sites, forums, or any site that
wants to include detailed profiles.
With just a little effort, you can add a lot of functionality for your users.
User benefits:
1 Instantly know how another member is similar by a %
type sign.
2 Get a comprehensive analysis and links to their user profile for full details
of these similarities.
3 Members can instantly identify new people they have things in common
with.
4 In a discussion environment it helps to gauge the relevance of others'
comments.
5 In case your members are not logged into PERSONiO, a
sign
will link to a user's profile page.
6 Allows users to create a detailed profile, and use it to match with other
members of your site.
7 Users keep their privacy,
but are better informed about the people they communicate with.
Here's an example, to
illustrate how it all works.
Integration for Webmasters:
1 Request a siteID for your site here.
2 Provide the following
PERSONiO link and replace the siteID with your own,
so users can create a profile.
3 Create a field where the related userID can be entered.
Include it with other signup activities, when registering
for your site. It could look like: PERSONiO userID
Use a variable instead of
#### for the userID in the following code:
Set it up, so when a user has a PERSONiO userID, this code
and that variable will load as part of the user's profile on your site. What your code should achieve:
1
Check if the viewed user has a PERSONiO user number.
2
If true, load the above Iframe code piece for that user’s PERSONiO user number.
What the Iframe code does:
It will instantly calculate how two profiles compare and show a match %
if the person is logged in.
If not logged in, the
link will show
and point to the viewed person's profile. Here's
an example.
For Individual PERSONiO Members:
(Give others access to your profile, without
programming.) To include your own profile link in your blog or website:
Please login first and come back here for the code!
